Once you delve into the specifics of each possible career, you'll be able to better see where you'll be a good fit.  You may find that none of the items from your list are good candidates - they may be in industries that are outside of your geographic reach or they may not pay enough.  If so, go back to your list and pluck off a few more possibilities now that you are armed with more knowledge about the market. You may also want to go back to step seven and see what other ideas you can generate.

9. Select your destination.

Your research will have shown you what your dream job looks like, and will have given you some clues as to how you'll get there.  Make a commitment now as to where you want to go and jot it in your notebook. This is your career goal.

10. Planning the Journey
